Participants will learn how Google Apps will help them better connect, communicate, and collaborate with their staff, prospects, and customers to simplify, improve, and mobilize their business communication and collaboration processes.
August 5th, 2010 - “Basic Communication is Harder Than it Sounds”
Presenter: Michelle Hill, Council Bluffs, AIM (American Institute of Management, Inc.)
Participants will learn how to strengthen relationships through understanding different communication styles, how to manage conflict and perception versus intentions, and improve active listening through interactive exercises.
November 4th, 2010 – “The 5 Most Effective Ways to Market Your Business on a Tight Budget”
Presenter: Mark Ford, Mills County, President, FFG Consulting, LLC.
Participants will learn 5 examples of how to market their small business even in times of “tightening budget belts” when profits have receded.

Shotgun Start 7:30 a.m. & 1:00 p.m.
Register early! Limited to first 36 teams
Registration Deadline - August 10th
Four person scramble $250. per team
(registration includes 18 holes of golf & evening dinner. Additional dinners $10. ea.)
Cash Prizes (projected prizes based on 36 teams in three 9 team flights)
1st place each flight $300.
2nd place each flight $200.
3rd place each flight $100.
Dinner at 7:00 p.m. Non Golfers $10. each
Request your preference for morning or afternoon golf, placement in morning or afternoon group will be based on a first to register and pay basis.

Sunday, September 19, 2010 @ 8:30 a.m.
Please notice this starts with TRY not tri. This event is for everyone of all ages and different ability levels. The TRYathlon consist of swimming at the Y, bicycling around town and walking/running around Glenwood Lake Park. You can participate as an individual or as a group/family/Chamber or Business Team! This is for fun unless you want/need to make it competitive. This event consists of biking 3 miles, walking/running 1.2 miles, and swimming 200 meters (8 laps.) The neat part of this is you can actually choose your distance. You can bike 1-3 miles, walk/run .6 - 1.2 miles or swim 50 - 200 meters.
Cost is $15. individual or teams of 3 $40. if registered by Saturday, September 11, 2010. Cost after the 12th or day of is $20. individual and $50. teams of 3. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.at Glenwood Lake Park. Swimming is first, biking 2nd and walking/running last.
